from Us.
Dear friends and family,
I wish to share some updates regarding our trip to Bali. Jade & I have officially BOOKED (from the 21st April to the 5th of May 2024 ) as well as our friends Rosie & Ash too I believe! I know early organisation isn’t everyone’s jam but it’s a good idea and a great way to save! Jade and I have reconsidered the idea of the large villa, which was beautiful but impractical. Instead (after a cheeky 4 day scouting trip this month - I know, it was hard but someone had to do it!) we've chosen two wonderful hotels in Petitenget, the heart of Seminyak – on the beach, close to shopping, day spas, relaxing day clubs, restaurants and cafes galore (not that you would know it as you step into quiet bliss the moment you enter the resorts.)
For those looking for a super affordable alternative or prefer a smaller option to a resort, we recommend Kubu Pettitenget which is simple yet clean and well-managed rooms with a pool or a private villa very close-by to the resorts. Also, as you know, Airbnb offers numerous options, even last minute that you can research for yourself (more info below). During the first week, we will be staying at Potato Head, for which we've secured a group discount that I'll detail below. As for W Bali, you’ll also find a group discount below.
Potato Head, renowned for its private beach club and sustainable approach, collaborates with world-famous designers and offers a unique heartfelt experience – it has an amazing gym and and a la carte breakfast served to you overlooking the pool daily, with a special focus on the environment. For those seeking something more ‘traditionally trendy’, W Bali is an excellent choice. Although it's a bit pricier, it boasts the most spacious rooms in Bali and is pretty funky with a huge pool. Below, you'll find videos, photos, and links to the suggested accommodations. Either way, we will be spending time at both venues (with special sunset drinks at the W) and dinner at Potato Head, so we’ll all be close by!
For those who wish to stay longer, we have planned a second week in Ubud, amidst the rice fields and mystical temples of the Island of the Gods. It will be a vacation more focused on relaxation, massages, yoga, nature walks, and jungle adventures. If you are thinking you'll stay on for a second week and want to venture out to the jungle of Ubud too let us know and we can make some plans together perhaps!
I'd like to emphasize that this vacation isn't JUST to celebrate my birthday. It's an opportunity for us to reconnect after a challenging and tough few years for all of us, marked by challenges like COVID, illnesses, work stress, and the loss of loved ones. I hope this "reset" is welcomed by everyone, and I sincerely hope to see you all soon, relaxed and in flip-flops, on the beautiful beaches of Bali.

Transportation in Bali is quite chaotic as you all know. If you feel comfortable you can hire a scooter for the day around 10 Euro or 16AU$
If that’s not your thing, there are plenty of Taxis (Bluebird), a Grab car (Similar to Uber in Asia) or a limo with driver. All the hotels will be able to organise one.
